🔥 Chef Wanted – East African Cuisine (Launch Team) 🔥 We are seeking a skilled and passionate Chef with strong experience in Somali and/or Kenyan cuisine to join us for an exciting new food concept launching this July. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a brand from the ground up — helping refine and deliver a menu inspired by rich East African flavours with a modern, elevated touch. 📍 Role Details: • Position: Chef (East African Cuisine), • Start Date: First week of July, • Opening Date: 6th July, • Location: Barking, London 👩🏽‍🍳 Key Responsibilities: • Collaborate on menu development and finalisation ahead of launch, • Prepare and present authentic East African dishes to a high standard, • Bring creativity while maintaining cultural authenticity, • Support kitchen setup and ensure smooth service for opening ✅ Requirements: • Proven experience cooking Somali and/or Kenyan cuisine, • Strong understanding of traditional flavours, ingredients, and techniques, • Swahili language skills are highly desirable, • Professional, reliable, and able to work in a fast-paced environment, • Self-employed applicants welcome (must be able to provide a valid UTR number) ✨ Ideal Candidate: • Passionate about East African food and culture, • Detail-oriented with a high standard for presentation and taste, • A team player with a positive, can-do attitude, • Excited to contribute to a new and growing brand We are committed to equal opportunities and welcome applicants from all backgrounds with the relevant skills and experience.
