Job Description

We’re looking for a baker to join us at VaffanCoffee in Hackney Wick and help us build out the bakery side of the business from the ground up. This is not just a “show up and bake” role — we’re looking for someone who genuinely wants to help shape and operate a small back-of-house bakery within an independent café environment. Someone with initiative, ideas, and an interest in creating something long term. We’re open-minded on experience level as long as you: • know your way around baking/pastry, • are hands-on and reliable, • enjoy independent, creative environments, • are interested in helping set up systems, products and workflow, • don’t mind being part of a slightly chaotic but ambitious small business VaffanCoffee is a community-focused café in Hackney Wick with a strong creative identity, events, regular locals, and an atmosphere that leans more “third space” than traditional coffee shop.
